We currently have an exciting career challenge for the right individual. The successful candidate will work within the Group Communication Division and will be responsible for identifying, managing and monitoring the group's legal and reputational risk in respect of group publications as well as in projecting the image of the group. The role requires someone with a background in communication who is proficient in both English and Afrikaans with regards to verbal and written communication. Our client is a blue-chip company in the Financial Services sector.
Purpose of the role:
Identify, manage and monitor the group's legal and reputational risk in respect of group publications and in projecting the image of the group.
Performance Indicators:
Ensure compliance of group publications with industry-regulated procedures, standards and legislation.
Manage and execute documentation production (editing, translating, writing, rewriting, formatting, information mapping, proofing).
Develop and implement business terminology.
Identify the need for and develop, monitor and streamline documentation production processes and procedures.
Develop, market and execute business writing skills training courses.
Build, manage and maintain relationships with, and provide advice and consultancy services to, stakeholders.
Support, coach, monitor and provide continuous guidance to editorial staff.
Identify self-development needs and execute self-development plan.
Ensure the organization’s values are upheld in interactions with stakeholders.

| Essential Requirements |
Level of experience required:
6 years' intensive, interactive financial/banking writing, translating, editing, terminology creation and language training experience.
Lexicographical, legal and creative-writing skills strongly recommended
Minimum qualifications:
B degree with English and Afrikaans as majors or English/Afrikaans as major and at least Afrikaans/English I
Postgraduate Applied Linguistics degree specializing in editing and translating. (Preferable)
